The
Vietnam Customs Statistics announced that in the first half (01-15/02/2021) of February-2021 , Vietnam’s total exports of US dollars 9.94 billion and imports of US
dollars 9.24 billion resulted in a trade surplus of
US dollars 695 million. Accordingly, the total value of export and import
turnover of Vietnam in the first half of February was US dollars 19.18 billion,
down by 33.3% as compared to the second half of January-2021.
In
the view of FDI traders, the value of exportation in the
first half of February reached USD 7.51 billion, down by 35.7% and the value of
importation reached 6.37 billion, down by 26% as compared to the second half of
January 2021. Therefore, from January 1st to February 15th
of 2021, the total value of FDI merchandise trade went up by 39.6% to US dollar
53.03 billion.
Export:
When compared with the second half of January-2021, export of first
half of February-2021 decreased by 36.1%, mostly as a result of the downturn
registered in telephones, mobile phones and parts thereof (down by 46.3% -
USD1.5 billion); machine, tools and equipments ( down by 37% - USD 665 milion); computer
