In the official letter no.1395/TCHQ-TXNK dated 16 March 2018 on transportation cost, the General Department of Vietnam Customs requested the local customs Department to instruct the importers to declare transportation cost and other relating charges for imports to the first destination port if these expenses are subject to cumulative adjustment stipulated in Article 13 of Circular no.39/2015/TT-BTC.
On 19 March 2018, the Ministry of Finance has issued the official Letter no. 3072/BTC-CST replying on difficulties in compliance of tax exemption policy under Circular no. 201/2012/TT-BTC, Circular no. 81/2013/TT-BTC and Decision no.72/2013/QD-TTg. Accordingly, the Ministry of Finance reported problems arising from the implementation of Circular 201/2012 /TT-BTC and Circular 81/2013 / TT-BTC to the Prime Minister , while waiting for the result, the exemption of import tax still complies with the two mentioned Circulars.
For the classification of Jacker chips, the General Department of Customs issued the official letter no.1527/TCHQ-TXNK dated 22 March 2018. Accordingly, basing on the list of Vietnamese imports and exports, Jacker chip is classified with HS code 1905.90.80
On 16 March 2018, the General Department of Customs issued the official letter no.1391/TCHQ-TXNK dated 16 March 2018 guiding the local Customs Department to classify the grain maize. Accordingly, if the grain maize which is used for roasting, dried, not milled or marinated belongs to items under HS code no. 1005.90.10. In case the grain maize which is used for roasting, marinated and unroasted belongs to items under HS code 2008.19.90.
On 23 March 2018, the General Department of Customs issued the official letter no.1542/TCHQ-TXNK to reply on request for HS code consideration. Accordingly, the company that disagrees with the analysis and classification results of the customs office may contact the customs inspection Branch to get a part of stored samples to have it inspected in the other organization.
During the week, e-Customs Portal is also updated with other documents such as: the official letter no.1404/TCHQ-GSQL dated 21 March 2018 on the results of the second meeting of the Sub-Committee (Customs) within the framework of the Vietnam-Korea Free Trade Agreement (VKFTA); the official letter no.1489/TCHQ-GSQL dated 21 March 2018 on control of tax exempted goods trading.
