The
Vietnam Customs Statistics announced that in the second half of October, 2020
the total Vietnam’s exports of US dollars 14.51 billion and imports of nearly US
dollars 12.34 billion resulted in a trade surplus of US dollars 2.17 billion. Accordingly, the total value of
export and import turnover of Vietnam in the second half of October was over US
dollars 26.86 billion, up by 9.0% as compared to the first half of October-2020.
Furthermore, in the first 10 months of 2020,
Vietnam was in trade surplus of USD 19.5 million.
Vietnam‘s
trade-in-goods in the first 10 months of 2020 totaled US dollars 440.09 billion
in value terms, increased slightly 2.7% as compared to the same period of last
year.
In
the view of Foreign Direct Invested (FDI) traders,
the total value of exportation and importation in the first 10 months of 2020
reached USD 295.86 billion, up by 7.4% in comparison to the same period of 2019.
Export:
As compared to the first half of October-2020, second half of the month increase in the total export value (14.1% - USD 1.79 billion equally) is reflected by upturn in telephones, mobile phones and part thereof (up by 5.6% - USD 146 million equally); computer, electrical products (up by 16% - USD 315 million equally); machine, tools and equipments (up by 17.4% - USD 240 million equally); …
Totally, in the first 10 months of 2020 total export value from Vietnam was USD 229.79 billion, slightly up by 5% as compared to the same period of 2019.

Import:
The
first half to second half of October widen in the total of import value (3.6%)
reflected upturn in computer, electrical products (up by 5.5% - USD 165 million
equally); machine, equipment, tools and instrustment (up by 10.1% - USD 160
million equally);…
From
January to second half of October-2020, total import value into Vietnam was USD
210.3 billion, went up by 0.3% as
compared to the same period of 2019.
